What You’ll Learn

By the end of PEAC 200, you will learn how to:

  • Understand Key Accessibility Laws: Develop a foundational understanding of Canadian accessibility laws, human rights codes, and policies, including their practical implications for workplaces.
  • Explore Legislative Expectations and Implications: Assess core accessibility principles, gaps, and implications within provincial and territorial laws and policies, addressing their impact on workplace practices.
  • Analyze Barriers: Recognize how attitudinal biases, systemic discrimination, and organizational barriers impact accessibility and how duty to accommodate principles are applied to address barriers.
  • Develop Creative Solutions: Strengthen your ability to analyze real-world scenarios, identify accessibility barriers, propose effective workplace solutions and accommodations, and move your organization beyond regulatory compliance to meaningful inclusion.
